Amazon Kindle - The Perfect Visually Impaired-Capable Necessity

Amazon.com Kindle DX eReader is a favorite of the Last Partner. He says, . . .

Having family members that are visually-impaired, and that love to read, the Kindle DX is the perfect choice.

One of the things that drew me to the Amazon Kindle eReader is: 1) changable font size; 2) speech capability; 3) future improvements such as an MP3 function to listen to music as you read; 4) computer connectibility to add your own e-files; and 5) most of the over 450,000 e-books/magazines/newspapers/blogs are text-to-speech capable. Most other document readers can run well over $1000.00, making the Kindle very cost-effective/friendly.

I have both the 6" and 9" Kindles because it is great for my wife and kids. If that could get the educational text books on the Kindle, it could balance the scale for the visually impaired.
