I received a reply from the GA Better Business Bureau yesterday. They contacted UPS, who in turn did an internal investigation. The end result is that the replacement I received came from the shipper, Independent Living, and not UPS.

Maybe my logic is screwed up, but I still do not believe that the shipper was liable for the damage unless the driver was acting as an agent for their company. Then, maybe, yeah.

We are expecting another shipment tomorrow that UPS has to deliver. Let's see what the future holds for the relationship between the Thompsons and UPS.

I would like to thank the GA BBB office that handled my complaint. Their response was expedient and very helpful. They got something from UPS much faster than I did. Too bad it was not the company that I hold liable. If I do not have anything else on this I will end this particular blog, and pull it from amazon.com kindle blogs.
